Message from the director
Because of advances in HIV medications, HIV/AIDS is no longer fatal, if you have access to proper medical care. However, you may not notice an infection with HIV unless you take the test. HIV does not show specific symptoms in the early stage of infection. Sometimes, HIV may not present any symptoms until severe symptoms, such as pneumonia, develop. The earlier HIV infection is discovered, the better we can maintain your health. It is important to take the test if you suspect any exposure to infection.
